Aaron Gordon of the Orlando Magic hopes to add a 3-pointer to his offensive arsenal. One day, he wants to join the 3-point contest at All-Star Weekend.

Per Ben Stinar of Amico Hoops, Gordon believes that his goal of adding a reliable 3-point shot will have to undergo a long process.

“Hopefully one day (I will) be in the three-point contest,” he said. “Just one day at a time, one game at a time, one shot at a time.”

Gordon, the fourth overall pick by the Magic in 2014, entered the league as a high-flying big man with superhuman athletic abilities. As he developed and learned more about the game, Gordon became one the team's reliable scorers. Last season, he averaged 16 points per game on a 44.9 percent clip. He also knocked down 1.9 3-pointers per game on 34.9 percent shooting.

But more than expanding his offense, Aaron Gordon wants to improve on the skills already in his toolbox. On top of his individual goals, he wants to help the team do well in the playoffs.

“I definitely want to be better in the post, just with my footwork,” he said. “Continue to make better decisions on the floor, handle the ball really well, just do better than we did last year. Advance, get a series win in the playoffs.”

Last year, the Magic made it to the postseason for the first time since the 2011-2012 season. While their campaign was cut short, the mere fact that the Magic are now considered an up and coming team is something to be proud of. But from the looks of it, Aaron Gordon wants to surpass last year's finish.
