The Orlando Magic have received a much-needed boost as they take the floor for the first time after the All-Star break. Aaron Gordon is reportedly set to return to action for the Magic after a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a left ankle sprain.
This report comes via Marc Stein of the New York Times:

It is worth noting, however, that Gordon will be limited in his first game back:

Gordon's return is a welcome development for Orlando who are set to face the Miami Heat without Terrence Ross (knee) and Evan Fournier (groin). The Magic have been gutted by injuries for pretty much the entire campaign. They lost two key guys early in the campaign with both Markelle Fultz and Jonathan Isaac suffering season-ending injuries.
As for Gordon, the last time he saw action was on January 31. He's likely going to navigate through a bit of rust on Thursday night and the fact that he's going to be on a strict minutes limit means that we shouldn't expect too much from him against the Heat.
The Magic are currently sitting on a 13-23 record and are just three games ahead of the last-place Detroit Pistons in the East. Nevertheless, Orlando still appears to be gunning for a postseason spot this term (they are just four games behind the eighth seed right now). Recent reports indicated that the Magic are unwilling to deal All-Star big man Nikola Vucevic ahead of the deadline which could be an indication of their intention to have another go at it this season with their current core.
