Incoming second-year man Melvin Frazier Jr. of the Orlando Magic just underwent surgery on his right tibia and is on the way to recovery.
Per The Magic PR, the 22-year-old Frazier went under the needle to repair a stress fracture in his right tibia.

Per Josh Robbins of The Athletic, the injury was diagnosed in late May.

Melvin Frazier was the 35th overall pick by the Magic in the 2018 NBA Draft. In his rookie campaign, Frazier appeared in 10 games and averaged 1.5 points in 4.4 minutes of play.
The 6-foot-6 swingman also spent some time with the Magic's G League affiliate, the Lakeland Magic. In 18 games with them, he averaged 12.2 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists,s and 1.65 steals. He shot 44.6 percent from the field and 38.5 percent from deep.
In an old interview, Frazier shared his thoughts, particularly on how he is observing the team's veterans to understand NBA life and how to survive.
“It helps a lot sitting on the bench and watching the other guys go,” Frazier said. “Basically, I’m just watching on what to do and what not to do so whenever get in I don’t do what I’m not supposed to do.”
Indeed, it will be a summer spent in rehab with hopes of returning back to the floor as soon as possible.
