The Orlando Magic will sign guard Rodney Purvis to a two-year, non-guaranteed deal after his second 10-day contract ended today, according to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports. The non-guarantee on next season will allow the Magic the utmost flexibility during the offseason.

Purvis went undrafted in the 2017 NBA Draft, but has proved to be a valuable combo guard, recently deployed due to the absence of Evan Fournier with an injury.

The Connecticut guard is averaging 6.3 points this season and is fresh off a 19-point performance against the Philadelphia 76ers, most of which came in garbage time in a blowout loss.

A 6-foot-4, 205-pound spot-up shooter, Purvis has shot the ball well during his 20 days with the franchise, shooting 47 percent from the floor and 37 percent from deep.

He posted 13.8 points in his senior season with the Huskies after playing his first year of college at North Carolina State.
