The Orlando Magic pulled off one of the upsets of the evening by defeating the second-seeded Toronto Raptors in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference first-round playoffs matchup. What's even more impressive is the fact that the Magic accomplished this feat despite dishing out the least number of assists since early January.
The #Magic did a lot of things in that game that are unusual for them — both good and bad. First time with fewer than 20 assists since Jan. 9. That is 41 games.
Game 2 is going to be a completely different game.

The entire Orlando team combined for only 20 assists on the evening, which is not what you would usually expect from a team that has been moving the ball around quite well throughout the season. Fortunately for the Magic, veteran point guard D.J. Augustin played one of the best games of his entire career, dropping 25 points (on a highly-efficient 9-of-13 from the floor), four three-pointers, two rebounds, six dimes (which already accounts for over 30% of the team's total assists), one steal, and just one turnover in 30 minutes of action as he led his team to a 104-101 victory.

Most Improved Player of the Year front-runner Pascal Siakam (24 points, nine rebounds, four assists) also did his bit for the Raptors, but perhaps the story of the evening was Kyle Lowry's (zero points on 0-of-7 shooting) amazing disappearing act.
Game 2 of this series is scheduled for Tuesday night in what will be a must-win game for the Raptors, as losing the opening two games on their home floor will almost certainly lead to disaster for Toronto.
