Orlando Magic small forward Terrence Ross didn't care if Jimmy Butler was making his Philadelphia 76ers debut Wednesday. All Ross had on his mind was spoiling it.
With the Sixers and Magic tied at 106 with roughly 10 seconds left in regulation, Terrence Ross hit a tough 3-pointer from the top of the key over Philadelphia All-Star big man Joel Embiid to give the Magic a three-point lead.
If turned out to be the game-winner, as the Magic wound up beating the Sixers by a final score of 111-106.

Jimmy Butler finished with 14 points in his Sixers debut while shooting 6-of-12 from the floor. The four-time All-Star played 33 minutes.
Terrence Ross scored 15 points in 31 minutes. He shot 6-of-9 from the field and 3-of-5 from beyond the arc, which his third one being the biggest of the game. The Magic improved to 7-8 on the year, while the Sixers are now 9-7.
Ross is usually known for his powerful and high-flying dunks in traffic. A career 37.1 percent from the 3-point line, Ross is shooting 38.1 percent from beyond the arc this season. It's a big season for Ross, who averaged only 8.7 points per game last season and didn't look engaged under previous head coach Frank Vogel.
It's still early, but Ross and the Magic are one of the early surprises of the young NBA season. Let's see if they can keep it up.
