Kevin Durant was taking none of the comments coming from those wanting to discredit Tracy McGrady as a worthy 2017 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee.
The Golden State Warriors forward took to Twitter to claim McGrady as one of the best scorers of his era.
The game will always be about buckets. When it comes to buckets, there was nobody like T-Mac. FOH, number 1 in the HOF. Respect OG

McGrady's scoring average was only 19.6 points per game for his career due to the usually slow first three years of his career with the Toronto Raptors. However, the two-time scoring champion was at his best during his stint with the Orlando Magic and the Houston Rockets, averaging 20 or more points during eight straight seasons.
As a versatile talent that could score, rebound, pass, and defend, others took after his versatile playing style like LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Durant himself.
While the counterargument to his induction is never getting past the first round of the postseason, McGrady, like many other, was a victim of bad timing and circumstance — facing untimely injuries throughout his career and other situations which prevented him from going further in the playoffs.
As he is inducted among other greats into the Hall of Fame, current NBA athletes like Durant often show their respect to those like McGrady who paved the way for other versatile talents to make it big in this league.
