The Indiana Pacers fell to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday afternoon in Game 7 of their first round series, 105-101, officially eliminated from playoff contention. The series was the closest and likely the best of the first round with both Cavs' superstar LeBron James and Pacers' rising star Victor Oladipo exchanging blows each and every game.
Unfortunately, one team had to go home and it was the team that didn't have the best player in the world in LeBron James, who finished with 45 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists on 64 percent shooting. Oladipo was asked about James' play in the series, and had nothing but respect for the three-time NBA champion.
“It's amazing. He did what he always does. Its not really shocking. He's the best in the world, that's what the best does. Now, I've got to work so I can get on that level.”

Oladipo did all he could to lead the Pacers to a win in Game 7, finishing with 30 points, 12 rebounds, six assists, and three steals on 10-21 shooting from the field and 4-9 from beyond the arc. For the series, Oladipo averaged 22.7 points, 8.3 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 2.4 steals, and 3.3 three-pointers per game on 41.7 percent shooting from the field and 40.4 percent from beyond the arc.
All series long, however, the wild card was LeBron James, who finished the series averaging 34.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 7.7 assists, 1.4 steals, 1.0 blocks, and 1.7 three-pointers per game on 55.3 percent shooting from the field and 35.3 percent from beyond the arc.
The first thing Oladipo did after the loss was text his trainer who helped change him last summer to be the player he is today. The future is bright in Indiana, and especially for Victor Oladipo.
