Article Continues BelowThe 76ers have won two straight games after enduring a three-game slump. Seen as title contenders, the 76ers have performed relatively well thus far. They have proven that they can go toe-to-toe with the elites. Consistency, however, has been the main problem for the Brett Brown-coached squad.
So far, Simmons is averaging 14.3 points, 6.8 rebounds, and 8.2 assists (fifth in the league). He remains the 76ers main orchestrator on offense, often making the right plays at the right time. His vision and crisp passing have elevated the team's offense into another level.
Despite his lack of a reliable jump shot, somehow Simmons finds ways to score. Using his strength, speed, and size, he simply bullies his way to the rim for an easy layup or dunk. Some believe that if Simmons develops a good jump shot, then he'll be unstoppable.
Be as it may, Monday's victory over the Pistons is a good win and a good morale booster moving forward. They'll host the league-leading Milwaukee Bucks on Christmas in a duel between two of the best in the East.
