As formidable as the Brooklyn Nets team is, they don't exactly have the best interior defense. Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid knew this coming in their match at Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday. The four-time Sixers All-Star exploited this weakness often, as he wreaked havoc inside the paint early on.
With under six minutes left in the second quarter of the match between the East's top two teams, Embiid capped off his dominant first half with this emphatic two-handed jam. After faking DeAndre Jordan out of his shoes, the 27-year-old Cameroonian skied over everybody for this amazing highlight.

It's clear that Embiid wanted to send a message against the Nets, as he got off to a fast start with 21 points and six boards in just the first two-quarters of the ball game. With both teams currently tied at the top of the standings with a 37-17 slate, the winner of this match will get to keep the solo lead in the East. As of writing this, the Sixers big man has 37 points heading into the fourth quarter
The Sixers are the healthier of the two teams, winners of six of their last ten games, and two straight. This was the last time this regular season that the Sixers would face the Nets, with a potential playoff matchup looming.
The Nets, of course, own one of the worst defensive ratings in the league this season, ranking 25th out of the 30 teams. Jordan, meanwhile, is one of their better interior defenders, but he was clearly outclassed by Embiid on this play.
