Earlier this week, Philadelphia 76ers big man Joel Embiid took to Twitter to roast man-mountain Aron Baynes by ridiculing the Boston Celtics center’s hairdo. It was all for fun obviously, but that did not stop the universe of Twitter from converging to roast Embiid back by pointing out the fact that while Baynes may have a haircut the Sixers’ unicorn don’t like, at least he’s still playing.
That probably hit the Embiid right in the feels, as he went on to Twitter again Friday night to say that he’s itching to comment something about Aron Baynes, he’s not going to do so because he does not want people coming at him again.
I was gonna tweet about ponytail but y’all are gonna ask me about my lovely couch lmao😂😂😂

Again, it’s all for fun, but also notice that instead of man bun, he called Baynes “ponytail” this time around.
Never change, Joel Embiid.
Baynes does not have as colorful of a personality as Embiid nor an active Twitter account, so we’re not expecting to hear a response from him – at least anytime soon. Plus, the Celtics are still playing, so if he plans to deal with Embiid on social media, he’ll likely do that once Boston hits the offseason.
It was not that long ago when Baynes and the Celtics sent the Sixers crashing out of title contention in the second round of the playoffs by winning the series, four games to one.
