Joel Embiid was once again an unstoppable force on Tuesday night as the Washington Wizards hosted the red-hot Philadelphia 76ers. Well, sort of. That was until Kyle Kuzma came up big in the dying moments of the game to block what would have been a game-tying shot by Embiid.
Here's a look at Kuz with one of his most clutch defensive plays of the season for the Wizards over no less than MVP frontrunner Joel Embiid (h/t Chase Hughes of NBCS):

Kuzma had a clean swipe on Embiid, who himself thought that he had a clear path to the basket after leaving his defender in the dust. The Wizards stud also came up with the defensive rebound to secure the possession — and the win — for the Wizards.
Kuzma had another big game in this one with Bradley Beal still sidelined due to injury. The former Lakers stud put up a team-high 24 points on 10-of-19 shooting to go along with seven rebounds, three assists, a steal, and three blocks (!).
This was an important victory for the Wizards who were on the second night of a back-to-back set. Washington lost to the defending champs Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday, 112-98, so this win over the Sixers is an undeniably crucial bounce-back effort by a shorthanded Washington side.
