James Jones and the Phoenix Suns are entering a very important offseason for the future of their franchise. After choosing to hire Monty Williams to be their new head coach, the Suns now have to add to their roster in order to take a leap forward. That will all start with the 2019 NBA Draft.

While the first round is where most impact players come from, there are always major steals in the second round as well. Phoenix has an early pick in the second round and will be on the clock with the No. 32 overall pick.

Phoenix has plenty of talent on their roster, led by rising star Devin Booker. They drafted big man Deandre Ayton with the No. 1 overall pick in last year's NBA Draft and have plenty of other young players on the roster as well. Adding to that core is going to be important, although the Suns may look to free agency to fill many of their roster gaps.

It has been a long time since the Suns were viewed as playoff contenders. With the right moves this offseason, they could make a push next year if their young talent develops.

All of that being said, let's dive in and take a look at the three best options for the Suns at No. 32.

Cameron Johnson

3. North Carolina's Cameron Johnson Would Be Terrific

If the Suns are able to get their point guard in the first round at No. 6 overall, they will have no need to go with a guard this time around. Darius Garland could be the main target for Phoenix at this point in time, which would give them the luxury of taking a forward with this pick.

Cameron Johnson would be an ideal fit for the Suns in the second round. His draft stock has been all over the place, but he would add much-needed depth to the roster. There is a chance he could be taken higher, but the Suns would love it if he were on the board.

2. Ty Jerome Could Be an Ideal Point Guard

On the other hand, the Suns may not be able to get their point guard at No. 6 overall. If they are unable to get Garland, there are some point guard options at the top of the second round. First and foremost, Ty Jerome could be an ideal fit for the Suns.

James Jones, Suns

Jerome had an excellent season with Virginia last year. He averaged 13.6 points per game last season to go along with 5.5 assists and 4.2 rebounds. Phoenix has to find a point guard who can run their offense and Jerome might be a player that could develop into that role.

1. Phoenix Should Look at Iowa Forward Tyler Cook

Finally, and perhaps the best fit that the Suns could find with this pick, is Iowa forward Tyler Cook. He has not received a lot of hype throughout the draft process thus far, but is a very talented player.

Last season at Iowa, Cook averaged 14.5 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 51 percent from the field and knocked down 64.4 percent of his foul shots. Cook isn't known for his offense, but the Suns don't need to add more scoring options.

Cook would bring tenacity, effort, and rebounding, which are all areas that the Suns could use help in.
