The game between the Detroit Pistons and Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday was supposed to start earlier but was pushed back for a few minutes. Some debris was left on the court following the MSU pompom team throwing some athletic chalk on the floor and the maintenance of Little Ceasars Arena had some difficulty removing it, according to Reddit user AlexMaki.

“Pistons/Bucks game to be delayed as MSU's pompom team just threw a bunch of athletic chalk on the floor during a pregame routine. Pistons having trouble getting it off the court with less than a half hour prior to tip…”

The good news was they were able to eventually clean the entire floor, and the game started after only a short 12-minute delay, to the relief of the players, as well as the fans who looked forward to seeing both teams play. It was understandable that the Pistons’ personnel wanted to make sure the floor was spotless as the chalk could cause players to slip and even get injured.

Detroit is looking to get back to their winning ways by snapping their current three-game slide. With a 28-32 record, they need to win as many games as they can, especially being in ninth place in the Eastern Conference and trying to catch the Miami Heat.

The Bucks, on the other hand, also have a losing streak going, dropping their last two outings. Despite still sitting in sixth place, they know that the race for the playoffs is tight and that making the postseason could boil down to a single victory, making their games from here on out all important for them.
