Carmelo Anthony is enjoying an on-court view of the show that Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard has been putting on over his last six games.

Anthony has been in the NBA for 17 seasons, but according to Kevin Pelton of ESPN, he admitted he has not “seen anything like” Lillard's recent scoring binge:

“I don't think we've ever seen anything like this,” teammate Carmelo Anthony said. “We've seen great basketball, we've seen guys score the basketball in different fashions, but what he's doing, we haven't seen that in a long time.

“I'm just happy to be a part of it, be a fan of it.”

This is coming from an all-time great scorer himself in Melo.

Lillard turned in another virtuoso performance on Saturday night, scoring 51 points to lead the Blazers to their second victory in as many nights. He shot 17-of-29 from the field, converted nine 3-pointers, and dished out 12 assists all in 36 minutes of work.

Saturday's performance comes on the heels of an emotional 48-point game in a win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night. In his last six games (5-1 Blazers record), Lillard has been absolutely en fuego.

This torrid stretch includes a 61-point performance and four other games in which he scored at least 47 points, including two over 50. His lowest point total over these six games is a 36-point outing.

Over this stretch, Lillard is averaging an insane 48.8 points while shooting 54.8 percent from the field, 57.0 percent from 3, and 92.3 percent from the foul line. He is also averaging 8.2 triples per game in his last six while also grabbing 7.2 rebounds and dishing out 10.2 assists.

Damian Lillard looks to continue the momentum when he and the Blazers visit the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday. Portland is now 1.5 games behind the Memphis Grizzlies for the No. 8 seed.
