Portland Trail Blazers star and active NBA legend Carmelo Anthony has had one of the most fascinating and engrossing stories in league history.

From immediate family tragedy (his father passed when he was only two years old), to growing up in the Brooklyn projects, moving to one of the roughest neighborhoods in Baltimore, and fighting through disciplinary and academic struggles to become one of the NBA's first great one-and-done players in a historic draft class, Carmelo Anthony had seen the best and worst of what life has to offer before even getting his life started.

His career in the NBA reflects that: he has the highs from New York and Denver to the lows of Oklahoma City, Houston, and his raw and emotional interview with Stephen A. Smith.
