The NBA 2K series has long been a favorite simulation for players around the league. The likes of Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are notorious 2K gamers, and the debate surrounding overall ratings has become just as prevalent as it has for football players in the Madden NFL series or soccer players in the FIFA series.

Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard was in attendance for the “NBA 2K20” launch party in Los Angeles last week, and while he is happy with his overall rating, he told PEDESTRIAN.TV reporter Matt Hopkins that his likeness is not quite right.

“I’m fine with it. I’m 93 right? That’s cool. Room to improve,” Damian Lillard said. “They got my haircut kinda wrong, they don’t have my gear on how I wear it. They don’t really give you, like, the details.”

Interestingly, the series prides itself on the details. From player tattoos to accessories and hairstyles, the 2K brand boasts that it is the most realistic simulation on the market.

Of course, Damian Lillard himself has come up with some “video game” plays throughout his career, most notably his game-winning 3-pointer against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Blazers' first round of the Western Conference playoffs.

Lillard — who is actually rated at 92 overall — is the ninth-highest rated player in the game and the second-highest rated point guard behind Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry.
