Portland Trail Blazers star point guard Damian Lillard says his ability to shoot deep 3-pointers is “definitely a weapon.”

Lillard hit a few shots from 30 feet and beyond on Sunday in the Blazers' Game 1 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder. In fact, he hit a long clutch 3-pointer to give Portland a four-point lead near the end of the fourth quarter after Paul George hit a 3 to cut the Portland's lead to one.

Lillard says he's always been able to shoot the ball from deep and that he will live with the results every time he shoots those long-range shots.

“It’s definitely a weapon,” Lillard said, via Jason Quick of The Athletic. “Some (opponents) might say we will live with that shot … but I’m saying the same thing. I will live with that shot as well.

“Since I was a kid, I’ve always been able to shoot the ball really far. But then, becoming good at long shots has been different. There’s a process to making a deep shot a quality shot. People think it’s just a deep shot, but I’ve been developing this for year after year, summer after summer. You get confidence from the repetition of doing it.”

The Blazers snapped a 10-game playoff losing streak on Sunday. Damian Lillard was his usual stellar self, as the All-Star point guard finished with 30 points while shooting 5-of-11 from beyond the 3-point line.

Thunder star Russell Westbrook pretty much let Lillard shoot that late 3-pointer which put the game away. It's safe to say Westbrook won't be letting Lillard shoot that shot in Game 2.
