The NBA has decided to hold the 2021 All-Star Game in March in Atlanta and a lot of the star players have voiced their discontent with it, but Portland Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard had his own take regarding the game.

Lillard appears to be back and forth with the game but said, “if that's what we're going to do, I'm with it. But if we're not, I'm fine with that too.” While Lillard didn't say he's opposed completely, he understands that they have to participate in the game if it's being held.

The decision to hold the game despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is a bit of a questionable one, and LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo, among others, voiced their opinions on having the game.

Other players have taken James' stance also, and after the Kevin Durant situation last week with the contact tracing mess, some thought the league would go ahead and call off the game. However, there's been no indication of the game being canceled, and a report came out today that they have discussed having the dunk contest during halftime of the game itself.

A report from today stated there could be a halftime dunk contest next month during the All-Star Game—another startling piece of the ongoing situation developing around the maligned NBA exhibition game in March.

Damian Lillard's stance makes sense, and while he's not openly against having the game, he doesn't seem too excited or thrilled about going to it either. Dame might not be a starter for the Western Conference this year, but either way, he will be participating in the game in a reserve role.
