Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has never lacked confidence. Just in case you forgot, this is the same man that earned the nickname “Logo Dame” after repeatedly drilling near half-court shots in this year's NBA All-Star Game.
It's the very same Damian Lillard who drilled a 37-foot 3-pointer over Paul George — the likely NBA Defensive Player of the Year — to cap a 50-point night and send the Trail Blazers to the Western Conference semifinals.
And with the Blazers facing elimination after losing Game 5 to the Nuggets in Denver on Tuesday night, Lillard has retained his swagger.
Dame remained cool in assessing Portland's blowout loss and stuck to the underdog narrative that has seemed to follow the Blazers throughout the past couple of years.

“Whether you lose by one or by 25, it’s just one loss,” Lillard said, per Dwight Jaynes of NBC Sports Northwest.
“I think our mindset should be, just take care of home. We know that we are more than capable of getting it done. We’ve played our best basketball with our backs against the wall.”
While Nuggets star Nikola Jokic has excelled during the series, Lillard has struggled. Despite averaging over 26 points, four rebounds and nearly six assists through the first five games, Lillard is shooting just 25 percent from beyond the arc.
In fact, the Blazers are shooting under 33 percent from the 3-point line as a team, a clip that must improve given Denver's control of the frontcourt and Jokic's dominance in the paint.
