Portland Trail Blazers head coach Terry Stotts didn't know star point guard Damian Lillard worked on his deep 3-pointers all summer.

Lillard's new nickname around the league is “Logo Lillard.” The Blazers superstar has been shooting and making 3-pointers from way beyond the arc all season.

Dame's most famous shot was his game-winner against the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 5 of the first round. He scored 50 points in that game and sent the Thunder home.

Stotts says all the great players in the game always come back the next season with something new in their toolbox. Lillard fits that bill to a T:

Lillard has arguably been the second-best player in the 2019 playoffs behind Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant. Lillard is averaging 34.0 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game for the Blazers while shooting 47.8 percent from the field, 45.5 percent from the 3-point line (and beyond it) and 84.6 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers are going to need another big game from Lillard on Wednesday against the Denver Nuggets. Portland is down 0-1 in the series. The four-time All-Star scored 39 points in Game 1, but Portland still lost by eight and had 18 turnovers.
