To Portland Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum, Donald Trump does, in fact, bring people together — in their apparent dislike of him.
The Blazers guard retweeted a video shared by Rex Chapman showing folks in Philadelphia dancing in the streets as the polls show Joe Biden closing in on the presidency on Friday morning, thanks in large part to the votes in Philly.
“A lot of folks have become United bc we collectively dislike trump. This brings me joy,” CJ McCollum wrote.

McCollum, like so many other NBA players and athletes, hasn't hid his feelings about President Donald Trump in the past. On Thursday, he laughed at the notion of Trump demanding a recount in Wisconsin.
A recount with a 20k loss just means you’re going to lose twice 🤣

When Trump attempted to stage an indoor rally in Tusla, Oklahoma on Juneteeth, McCollum called the president a “sick man.”

McCollum has become an increasingly active voice in matters related to the election and broader social and racial reform. The Blazers guard was one of the many star athletes to team up with LeBron James' “More Than a Vote” initiative.
Along with Philadelphia 76ers forward Tobias Harris and Utah Jazz guard Donovan Mitchell, McCollum — who is a journalist on the side — recently interviewed Sen. Kamala Harris, the Democratic vice presidential nominee, for his show on PlayersTV, “ReMaking America.”

“As African American men, we feel like we have a responsibility,” CJ McCollum said in the interview. “I just want to encourage people to continue to go out and vote. I think that’s big…The election is coming soon, and we have a chance to drive and make real change.”
