Billions of dollars were agreed upon during the opening salvo of this offseason's free agency window. To be exact, the final figure came out to over $3 billion (!) over the first eight hours of what is easily the most stacked free agency class in recent memory.
NBA insider Matt Elentuck shared a pretty eye-popping graphic that showed just how much money was flying around in the first few hours of the window.

Portland Trail Blazers superstar point guard Damian Lillard took the lion's share of the pot, after agreeing to a massive supermax deal with the Blazers. The 28-year-old has been with Portland since the team drafted him back in 2012, which made him eligible for such a huge-money deal.
It was, however, the Brooklyn Nets who made the biggest splash on Day 1 as they handed out no less than $345 million worth of contracts to Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and DeAndre Jordan.
Not far behind were the Milwaukee Bucks who were quick to re-sign George Hill, Brook Lopez, and Khris Middleton, while also agreeing to terms with Robin Lopez, all to the tune of $269 million. Milwaukee went on quite a run last season, and they look set on going for it again next year with pretty much the same squad.
Other noteworthy big-money deals include Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat ($141 million), Tobias Harris and Al Horford with the Philadelphia 76ers ($289 million combined), Jamal Murray and the Denver Nuggets ($170 million), Kristaps Porzingis and the Dallas Mavericks ($158 million), Kemba Walker and the Boston Celtics ($141 million), Nikola Vucevic and the Orlando Magic ($100 million), and Klay Thompson and D'Angelo Russell with the Golden State Warriors ($317 combined).
