If the Memphis Grizzlies do in fact trade center Marc Gasol, the Portland Trail Blazers are reportedly the team most likely to acquire him, according to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders.

The Grizzlies are listening to trade offers for Marc Gasol with the Feb. 7 trade deadline approaching, and the Blazers could make a move as they look to add another dynamic piece alongside All-Star point guard Damian Lillard and shooting guard C.J. McCollum.

There are a couple of teams to watch specific to Gasol, the top being the Portland Trail Blazers. Sources close to the situation labeled the Blazers as the more likely team to land Gasol if the Grizzlies do a deal, but there was not a sense that anything was close enough to call.

Gasol has spent his entire NBA career with the Grizzlies, but the franchise has one of the worst records in the NBA this season and is better suited to rebuild and build around rookie big man Jaren Jackson Jr.

In 50 games for the Grizzlies this season, Gasol is averaging 15.7 points, 8.7 rebounds and 4.7 assists. The three-time All-Star and former Defensive Player of the Year is shooting 44.4 percent from the field, 35.6 percent from beyond the arc and 75.7 percent from the free-throw line.

The Blazers are 31-20 on the season, good for fourth place in the Western Conference. A frontcourt duo of Gasol and Jusuf Nurkić in Portland would be deadly.
