As one of the elite scorers in the league, DeMar DeRozan added a couple of new badges on his chest on Monday. He hung 52 points in their 131-127 overtime win against the Milwaukee Bucks, and it could be a performance for the ages.

It had DeRozan unlocking three things in the points department: a new career-high, a new NBA-high on New Year's day, and a franchise record.

The Toronto Raptors' previous record for points scored was 51, which was held by two players — Vince Carter and Terrence Ross.

QUICK FUN FACT: DeRozan, Ross, and Carter each have a Slam Dunk title.

Terrence Ross, who was teammates with DeRozan when he tied the then-franchise record in January of 2014, made sure he had a quip for his old comrade.

The 25-10 Raptors are currently second in the East. They have won 14 of their last 17 games, with their All-Star two-guard averaging 25.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 5.5 assists on 49.2 percent shooting during that span.
