The Ball family has not been receiving a lot of good words over the past few months, especially following the controversial statements LaVar Ball has made, and the much talked about the arrest of LiAngelo Ball in China for shoplifting. The Ball brothers made a lot of headlines when their father decided to take a different route in their preparation for the NBA. Instead of playing college ball in the NCAA, LaVar opted to pull them out from Chino Hills High School and UCLA, respectively, and will become professionals in Lithuania.

Valanciunas’ words can definitely be considered a very kind gesture from him, as he also wants the Balls to have a good impression of Lithuania, and its people. It even goes to show that despite the negative image their family has, it shouldn’t prevent him from extending a hand, as they are all part of the basketball community.
