The start of the season for the Sacramento Kings have not gone according to plan. They are currently ranked 11th in the Western Conference and are on a 4-8 record, including a three-game losing skid.
Their All-Star center, DeMarcus Cousins, recently gave his thoughts on what has been causing them to lose this much in the young season. As surprising as it may be for many, he took the blame for the Kings' slow start.
DeMarcus Cousins said he'd take the blame for the lack of preparation and guys not taking things seriously enough.

The 26-year-old Kentucky product has been known to cause a lot of locker room drama in the past and has had a history of getting suspended by the franchise for his behavior. Things have now taken a huge turn as he has shown some maturity with his statement.
Despite his incredible performances so far this season with averages of 26.6 points, 7.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.0 blocks per game, it has not translated to a winning record for the team. He definitely needs a lot more help especially from Rudy Gay and Darren Collison.
Yet, for what it's worth, the Sacramento faithful should be happy that Cousins is emerging as the leader they have always wanted him to be. With his talent and the competitive lineup the Kings have, it won't be impossible for them to turn their fortunes around and string a few wins together, and maybe, even compete for a good playoff seed before the regular season ends.
