Right outside Gregg Popovich's hotel room is the face of LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers. And the San Antonio Spurs head coach joked that it was a horrifying experience.
As reported by Ben Golliver of Sports Illustrated, Popovich joked that James is already a colossal figure up front, and a huge billboard of him made matters worse. One reporter asked if Popovich asked for a brand new room. Check out the video below for his answer.

Tonight is Popovich and the Spurs' first look at the James' Lakers. The two have a bit of a rivalry ever since James stepped into the league. In his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers, James managed to power his team to the NBA Finals only to be swept by Popovich and crew. With the Miami Heat, James met San Antonio twice in the NBA Finals and managed to win one. In his new chapter with the purple and gold, will James carve out more classic battles with Popovich and the Spurs?
Either way, this season will be a challenge for both parties. Everyone knows the pressure that's been laid on James' back once he signed that four-year contract. Popovich, meanwhile, is handling a relatively new team. Some have completely discounted the Spurs this year since they lost their veteran core. But given their performance early in the season, it seems that the Spurs haven't lost their luster.
