San Antonio Spurs guard DeMar DeRozan was one of the many NBA players left devastated upon the passing of iconic basketball figure and Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant.

More than a week removed from the tragedy that claimed Bryant, his daughter Gianna and seven others, DeRozan made sure to continue honoring Bryant's memory on Monday.

The 30-year-old swingman entered the Spurs' road game against the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center clad in full Kobe gear. A California native, DeRozan developed a special relationship with Bryant over the years.

After the game, DeRozan opened up about the biggest lessons he picked up from the five-time NBA champion and Lakers legend.

“How disciplined he was in every conversation I had with him about every single thing: life, the detail to basketball. He stayed focused, locking in, on wanting to to be great,” DeRozan shared.

The Spurs, meanwhile, did end up losing a close 105-108 game to the Clippers. Regardless of the outcome, DeMar DeRozan would have made Kobe Bryant proud, as he finished with 26 points, five rebounds and two dimes in 34 minutes of action in a losing effort.
