With the 2024 NBA Draft Combine behind us and the actual draft now less than a month away, 'tis the season for an increase in mock drafts. For San Antonio Spurs fans, that means double the draft fun. Or angst. The storied franchise has had just eight selections in the top ten through their first 50 years in the NBA but has two such picks this season.
Including a mock draft courtesy of ClutchPoints, here is what most mock drafts have the Silver and Black doing with their fourth and eighth picks.
Where mock drafts have the San Antonio Spurs

ClutchPoints mock draft:
#4 selection: Nikola Topic
#8 selection: Tidjane Salaun
In Topic, the Spurs would get a point guard that, as Brett Siegel writes, is regarded as the best play-maker in the draft. Topic suffered an injury recently while with the Serbian professional team for whom he plays. Salaun at the eighth pick is a projection that's picking up steam. The 6-foot-10 forward from France is very raw but his athleticism and on-the-ball defense have made teams take notice.
CBS Sports mock draft:
#4 selection: Reed Sheppard
#8 selection: Stephon Castle
We've reviewed just two mock drafts and, already, we've got four different players going to the Spurs with their two top-10 picks.
Both Sheppard and Castle have been commonly linked to San Antonio based on need. In Reed, Gregg Popovich would get one of the best shooters in the draft. The freshman guard from Kentucky shot 51% from three-point land while also featuring athleticism to go with a good feel. At 6-foot-6, Castle's length could make him a very good defensive player while his vision and bucket-getting could translate well on the offensive perimeter.
The Ringer mock draft:
Article Continues Below#4 selection: Rob Dillingham
#8 selection: Cody Williams
Another mock draft and another two different guesses as to whom the Spurs will take.
If any player has been projected more than others to San Antonio, it might be Dillingham. Like his former college teammate, Sheppard, the 6-foot-1 guard played just one season at Kentucky. Unlike with Sheppard, there are thoughts that Dillingham could develop into the most explosive offensive player from this class.
Williams is 6-foot-7 but features the wingspan of a seven-footer. A freshman at Colorado, Williams' fluidity and scoring upside at his size make him an intriguing pick.
NBA.com consensus mock draft
#4 selection: Nikola Topic
#8 selection: Rob Dillingham
The NBA's official website took mock drafts from around the web and put them together to provide an estimate of how the draft would play out according to consensus. The ClutchPoints projection of the 6-foot-6 Topic to Victor Wembanyama's squad at four fits in with the majority of mocks, which seem to think that the Spurs' affinity for foreign players provides another reason they'll take the Serbian star. No surprise to see Dillingham at 8, especially given San Antonio's lack of slashing and play-making from the perimeter.
The NBA Draft is set to start June 26 and for the first time will take on a two-night format with the first round in Brooklyn and the second round scheduled for June 27 in Manhattan.
