San Antonio Spurs shooting guard Danny Green is regarded as the quintessential 3-and-D player. He proved that once again in the 2017-18 NBA season with a rather impressive feat.

It goes without saying that players make certain sacrifices when donning the Spurs colors. However, Green has made the most of his opportunities by becoming the only player in the NBA to record at least 50 blocks and 70 three-pointers for the sixth straight season, according to Jordan Howenstine of Spurs PR:

Danny Green now has 50+ blocks and 70+ three-pointers in each of the last six seasons – the ONLY player in the NBA. Only other player with more than 4 seasons with 70/50 in that time span: Kevin Durant (5).

Green's feat is certainly impressive when one considers his supporting role in the offense. However, it goes to show the attention to detail he has given on both ends for the Spurs. The edge over Golden State Warriors forward Kevin Durant somewhat puts the impact he has on both ends of the floor into perspective.

Players like Green are often imitated but seldom duplicated. Aside from a healthy Kahwi Leonard, he is the Spurs' best perimeter defender as well as its most efficient 3-point shooter. However, his workload has remained relatively the same despite Leonard's injury.

Although the Spurs have floundered a bit as of late, Green has managed to once again find his touch in February. He is currently averaging 13.0 points, 1.3 blocks, and 1.5 steals over the last four games. Not to mention he is shooting 47.8 percent from deep during that span as well.
