Danny Green of the San Antonio Spurs recently received a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) shot to promote healing of the muscle tears in his left groin.
As reported by Jabari Young of the San Antonio Express-News, Green said that he's doing okay after the procedure and is currently doing some strength training:
“After the shot, I’m feeling OK. Just getting some rest right now, rehabbing and doing some strength stuff. I didn’t take much time off from the weight room, but I did (take time off) from the court.”
The 30-year-old is actually in Japan for a series of meet and greets with the fans during the NBA Finals. Perhaps he is also taking some time off to think and reflect.

“I’m taking some time. I don’t know what the decision is going to be. It depends on the feedback I get from my agent and what I get back from the organization. I think they are taking some time as well to take a breath because so much has gone with the organization outside of the players with Pop (Gregg Popovich) and the draft stuff is going on. There is a lot to be processed and taken into account on both sides. Not just the player’s side but the organizational side.”
Green, a nine-year pro, logged in 8.6 points per game, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists in 70 games last season.
