The ink is still drying on the divorce between Pau Gasol and the San Antonio Spurs, but his former teammates and coaches have had seemingly nothing but high praise for the veteran on his way out the door.
Fellow European Davis Bertans had this to say, per Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express-News:

The guy was working out every time he got a chance. We are going to miss him definitely. He was a great teammate, always helped everybody, a veteran with his experience. We only wish him the best.”
Gasol appeared in 27 games this season with the Spurs, making six starts. But he averaged just 12.2 minutes per game, by far the lowest mark of his 18-year career. Even during his age-38 season, Gasol has wanted to see an increased workload, but the Spurs have opted for lineups that include LaMarcus Aldridge at the center position, or the 23-year-old Jakob Poeltl.
His exit from a team currently slated to the make postseason is an oddity on the surface, but by joining the Milwaukee Bucks, he guarantees himself another trip to the postseason with Milwaukee having already clinched a spot. Time will tell if Gasol can garner more than 12 minutes per game with a team as deep and established as the Bucks, but regardless, both he and the Spurs seem happy with the decision to let the veteran chase one more ring.
