San Antonio Spurs shooting guard DeMar DeRozan is now the all-time leading scorer among all former USC Trojans in the NBA.

After dropping 30 points on the Denver Nuggets Wednesday evening, he now has more points than any USC alumn in the history of the league.

Other Trojans who fall in line behind DeRozan in the scoring list are Nikola Vucevic, Nick Young, and Taj Gibson, to name a few notable active players.

DeRozan was a part of the trade that sent himself and Jakob Poetl to the Spurs for superstar Kawhi Leonard and wing Danny Green.

This trade has completely shifted the dynamic for each team. For the Spurs, it has allowed them to build their team around DeRozan for the long term. Leonard was not happy with coach Gregg Popovich or the organization and only had one year left on his deal. For the Raptors, it allowed them to build around Leonard and set up a future under head coach Nick Nurse.

DeRozan has cut his three-point attempts to under two a game. Coach Popovich has truly embraced his midrange jumper and allowed DeRozan to freelance as he wishes. The entire offense is running through him and LaMarcus Aldridge. In fact, they are among the best pick-and-pop and pick-and-roll partners in the league. Their ability to score consistently for the Spurs allow them to be successful offensively.

The Spurs are now 18-16 on the season and sit ninth in the NBA’s Western Conference under head coach Popovich.
