Former San Antonio Spurs guard Manu Ginobili's son Nico was not happy when he heard his father was retiring from basketball this year. There are plenty of perks that come with being the child of an NBA star. There are free tickets to games, great seats, and plenty of travel.

However, Nico had a reason to be upset you probably never thought of. According to Jeff McDonald of the San Antonio Express-News, the young Ginobili was most concerned about the chicken tenders in the AT&T Center family room.

Everyone loves free food, but these legendary tenders must be something special. Unfortunately, the pleading of his son wasn't enough to stop Ginobili from hanging it up. Ginobili became a four-time NBA champion with the Spurs, so he can probably swing by the venue and get some free tenders from time to time.

It's unlikely that Ginobili will be going anywhere anytime soon. The 41-year-old recently had the city of San Antonio create an official Manu Ginobili day to honor everything he did for them as a member of the organization. He spent the entirety of his sixteen-year NBA career in San Antonio. The Spurs' way helped him become an NBA All-Star, Sixth Man of the Year, and one of the greatest international players to ever grace an NBA court.

There's no doubt that Ginobili will euro-step his way into the Basketball Hall of Fame in a few years. Who knows, maybe the AT&T Center's chicken tenders will make an appearance in his acceptance speech.
