As expected, San Antonio Spurs fans booed Toronto Raptors small forward Kawhi Leonard when he was introduced in the starting lineups on Thursday.

Kawhi Leonard only played in nine games last season with the Spurs due to a lingering quadriceps injury. Leonard was cleared to play by team doctors, but he was never cleared by his own camp to come back. The two-time Defensive Player of the Year even left the team for a while to rehab his injury in New York.

Kawhi Leonard requested a trade from the Spurs in the offseason, so clearly, the fans in San Antonio are upset at Leonard and are letting him have it on Thursday.

Danny Green was traded with Kawhi Leonard to the Raptors. The fans in San Antonio cheered for Green because he didn't request a trade.

This was to be expected. The Spurs fans felt like Kawhi Leonard quit on the Spurs last season. Leonard spent the first seven years of his NBA career with San Antonio and became one of the best players in the game with them. The Claw was a two-time All-Star in San Antonio and won the 2014 Finals MVP.

The fans don't care about any of that, though. They are only going to remember how Leonard acted last season.
