Kawhi Leonard is a beloved player in San Antonio even though his relationship with the Spurs has become tumultuous in nature since last season when the two-way forward played in only nine games due to an enigmatic lower-body injury.  Having said that, him reportedly seeking a trade from the Spurs would definitely sit well with San Antonio supporters.

It’s unlikely that Leonard would change his mind just because he no longer has a free pass to the San Antonio Zoo. After all, he’s rich enough to buy himself his own giraffe and two western lowland gorillas, but that’s not the point. The point is that San Antonio fans are beginning to revolt against Leonard because of his desire to leave Texas.

Also, now is a great time for the Los Angeles Zoo to help their hometown team acquire the services of Leonard. Maybe they could throw in free passes into a Lakers’ package in exchange for Kawhi?
