NBA veteran Thomas Robinson believes that the San Antonio Spurs found a gem in Keldon Johnson.
Robinson, who is playing for the Spurs in the Salt Lake City Summer League, heaped praises for Johnson. He said that the 19-year-old forward has the qualities to become a superstar in the league based on what he saw in practices and in their first two games in the summer exhibition.
“He doesn't get tired. He's stupid aggressive, big, athletic,” Robinson said of Johnson via Tom Osborn of My San Antonio. “I definitely see the makings of a superstar in him.”

Johnson had a rough debut against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Sunday. However, he bounced back big time against the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday. He racked up 29 points on 10-for-17 shooting from the field on top of seven rebounds, three steals, and a block to lead the Spurs to a 99-84 win.
Following his strong performance, Robinson called Johnson “Baby Russ,” a nod to Oklahoma City Thunder superstar Russell Westbrook
The Spurs were reportedly high on Johnson and were surprised that he fell late in the first round. However, it was undoubtedly a welcome addition for San Antonio who can benefit from the defensive prowess of the Kentucky Wildcats product.
