A number of international players who play for NBA teams are in the Rio Olympics this summer. But the most well-represented is the San Antonio Spurs. Five members of the team are faring well and enjoying success so far.

Two of them are in the top four in scoring, while the three others, though not scoring as much, have contributed in other ways for their countries. Most importantly, they will all see action in the quarterfinals. Here's a look at the stats so far of these five Spurs players:

Pau Gasol, Spain – 4th leading scorer of the tournament with 19.5 points and team-high 7.8 rebounds.

Manu Ginobili, Argentina – 15.0 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists per game.

Patrico Garino, Argentina – Averaging 7.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, shooting a team-best 61% from the field.

Patty Mills, Australia – 2nd leading scorer of the tournament with 20.5 points.

Tony Parker, France – Averaging 13.0 points, 3.8 assists

Parker sat out against Team USA due to a sore toe, while Mills did not see action against Venezuela to rest himself. Both are expected to be available in their next games.

The knockout stages will have highly anticipated matchups and the stakes will be bigger. They will be relied upon heavily to lead their teams and compete against the U.S. and look for medal finishes.

If these five players can translate their performances and level of play in this Olympics to the coming NBA season, the other teams better prepare themselves as this spells trouble for them.

This is definitely good news to the San Antonio faithful because even if they lost their franchise player, Tim Duncan, to retirement, the current squad is as capable as winning as their past rosters.
