The Philadelphia 76ers are unlikely to have center Joel Embiid for the first game of the playoffs. Embiid says that he hopes to be ready for Saturday.

Embiid has missed the last seven games with an orbital fracture, last playing on March 28. The Sixers have still won 15 straight games throughout this absence and are looking for No. 16 tonight to secure the third seed in the Eastern Conference as they take on the Milwaukee Bucks.
While the Sixers have still been successful without Embiid, they are nowhere near the team they are when he is on the floor. Embiid is a candidate for Defensive Player of the Year and transforms Philly on both ends of the floor when he suits up.
Missing just one game may not cost the Sixers the series but it is a significant blow, especially if the Sixers lose tonight and have to take on a tougher opponent. We'll find out who their first round opponent is by the end of the night and hear more on Embiid's status as the week goes on.
