When healthy and in the zone, San Antonio Spurs swingman Danny Green is a tough cover for his defenders, as he is a streaky shooter who can light it up from almost anywhere on the court. However, he also found out recently what can be an effective stopper for him— and it's not even a player in the NBA.

After suffering from food poisoning stemming from eating spaghetti, the 30-year-old North Carolina product, made it known, via an interview with Royce Young of the San Antonio Express-News, that he'll avoid eating the noodle dish from now on, especially on the road.

Green also shared that it was only the second time in his life that he was throwing up, which goes to show how bad his condition was.

“Stay away from the spaghetti…second time in like 20 years I’m throwing up. It was weird for me, but once I did throw up, I felt better…”

Green's illness forced him to miss the Spurs' game on Friday versus the Denver Nuggets, which they ultimately lost, 122-119. The good news is that he is now better and was even able to return to action on Sunday when his team faced off against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The veteran sharpshooter had a very strong outing, finishing with 22 points, including five 3-pointers, to go along with three rebounds, which led to them snapping a four-game losing streak. The Spurs will now return home and go up against the New Orleans Pelicans on Wednesday, which will give Green and company additional time to rest and recover.
