The Golden State Warriors and the San Antonio Spurs, two of the most formidable teams in the Western Conference, faced off on Saturday. The Warriors won handily, and the margin of defeat caused Manu Ginobili to admit something very interesting to reporters after the game.

Ginobili, who has been with no other team for the entirety of this NBA, career, made remarks about why this season's iteration of the Spurs has difficulty playing the Warriors, per Tim Bontemps of the Washington Post.

Unfortunately for the Spurs, Ginobili is spot on with this take. It's funny to hear or read, but sometimes the truth is like that.

The Warriors are head and shoulders — or shall we say, light years — ahead of the entire NBA from a talent standpoint. They have been for a while, but it really came to a head when the organization added Kevin Durant to the fold in the summer of 2016. That team won a championship.

Now, the Warriors fortified their bench while still having their core intact, and they routinely make examples of the entire NBA for even trying to play basketball against them. The Spurs, on Saturday, were the latest example of that.

Those same Spurs have been surprising this season in their own right. They have been without Kawhi Leonard for most of the year due to injury, but are still making serious noise in the West.

But against the Warriors, San Antonio's talent is just not enough. And for Ginobili to admit that, while true, is a huge mental advantage for the Warriors.
