With 0.6 seconds left in the game between the Phoenix Suns and Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday, Tyson Chandler stole the show with an epic game-winning alley oop that broke the hearts of their opponents. The referees had to review his dunk to check if he punched it in on time and no violations were made which ultimately resulted to a valid basket.

The veteran center was asked to give his thoughts on the play mapped out by head coach Jay Triano and he shared that he was at first worried he might get called for goaltending. He then added, via ESPN, that after he caught the ball above the cylinder, all he had to do was slam it home.

“My job was to punch it in. It was close,” said Chandler. “It might have hit the back rim, but I caught it over the cylinders because I knew there was no goaltending.”

The victory on the night was a big one for the Suns as they were able to bounce back from their loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday. It was also their fourth win in their past six games which improved their record to 13-23 for the season.

Phoenix will have two days off before returning to action to face the Sacramento Kings on Friday. The Grizzlies on the other hand will play the second of their back-to-back set on Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers inside Staples Center.
