Early on Saturday morning, ESPN's Adrian Woknarowski dropped one of his famous “bombs,” reporting that the New York Knicks had agreed to a deal that sends All-Star Carmelo Anthony to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In return for “Melo,” as he has came to be known, the Knicks are to receive center Enes Kanter, small forward Doug McDermott, and a 2018 second-round pick in the 2018 NBA Draft (via the Chicago Bulls).

Anthony, now 33 years of age, should be a fine addition to the Thunder's starting rotation. In his 74 games played for the Knickerbockers last season, the former No. 3 selection in the 2003 Draft averaged 22.4 points on 43 percent shooting from the field (36 percent from beyond the arc), 5.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists and just under one steal (.8) in 34.3 minutes per outing.

Alongside Paul George, who was traded from the Indiana Pacers to the Thunder earlier this summer, and reigning league MVP Russell Westbrook, Anthony will look to make waves in the Western Conference. With Oklahoma City's training camp slated to kick off on Tuesday, Thunder fans won't have to wait much longer to see their team's latest additions in on-court action.
