The Oklahoma City Thunder are surging through the Western Conference thanks to the sudden cohesion between their star-studded trio. Unfortunately, the Thunder will need to find a way to extend its six-game win streak without a member of their Big 3.

According to ESPN's Royce Young, superstar forward Paul George has been ruled out for Friday night's showdown against the formidable Milwaukee Bucks with a sore left knee:

Given the sudden nature of George's designation, it is likely just a precaution from the Thunder. That said, his presence will still be missed with superstar forward Giannis Antetokounmpo coming to town.

George has been the best defender in one of the best defensive units in the league. The four-time All-Star currently leads the NBA in steals (82) with teammate and superstar point guard Russell Westbrook clocking in just behind him (73). Furthermore, he has undoubtedly been the Thunder's biggest threat from deep.

However, it will give Oklahoma City a chance to give some of their bench players a look. Among the notable names that could take George's place in the starting lineup is shooting guard Alex Abrines or forward Jerami Grant. That said, it would make sense for head coach Billy Donavan to go with whichever rotation best matches up against the “Greek Freak.”
