The tie between All-Star swingman Jimmy Butler and the Chicago Bulls is still as strong as it was last season, and the Texas native showed his bond with the organization by treating nearly 35 team staffers to a thank-you dinner, according to K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune.

Despite being a member of a more-promising Minnesota Timberwolves, Butler, as it had been previously reported, never wanted to leave the team.

Butler notoriously posted a picture of himself looking into the Chicago skyline as a farewell to the organization, the city and its fans after news were made official.

The 27-year-old reportedly wanted to “say goodbye and thank you” to staffers, taking them to Katana, a chic new sushi restaurant in River North — spending three hours with them, according to someone familiar with his plans.

He was in town to be a part of Dwyane Wade's summer youth basketball camp.

The love between Butler and the city of Chicago hasn't faded and neither has the relationship between him and the staff, which is sure to remain strong after the class act he put on this Sunday.
