According to Dwane Casey, Kyle Lowry did not quit on his team in Game 2.

For those that aren't aware, Lowry left the Toronto Raptors‘ bench with a little over two minutes remaining in the first half of Game 2 versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. To a large portion of the audience, it represented Lowry “quitting” on the team due to his and the team's struggles early on in this series.

At the time he entered the locker room, the Cavaliers had closed the half on a 16-2 run to enter halftime with a 14-point lead.

His head coach defended him once again on Friday while talking to reporters, according to Mike Mazzeo of ESPN:

“Kyle did not walk out on his team,” Casey told the media Friday, per ESPN.com's Mike Mazzeo. “He and Cory Joseph use the bathroom more than any two human beings I know during the game. … I don't think he quit on his team.”

It has been a huge struggle for the Raptors through the first two games of the Eastern Conference Finals. After going through grueling seven-game series with the Indiana Pacers and the Miami Heat, Toronto finds itself outmatched by a dominant Cavs team.

It certainly doesn't help that Lowry can't seem to find his shooting stroke. He is converting on just 28.6 percent of his shots and has converted on a pitiful 1-of-15 from beyond the arc versus Cleveland.

Considering the lack of drama in this series, it makes sense the media would make a big deal out of something that probably doesn't warrant it in the first place.
