Kyle Lowry‘s departure from the Toronto Raptors signaled the end of an era for the franchise up north. The 2019 NBA champion decided to take his talents to South Beach but his heart will forever be in The Six.
He's arguably the greatest Raptor of all time. His jersey will eventually be retired in Toronto. As for the immediate future, Lowry expects a wave of emotion when he returns to his second home, per Josh Lewenberg of TSN Sports.
“I'm not looking forward to that first game back (in Toronto) because I know I'm going to get a tribute and I know I'm going to cry.”
The All-Star guard realizes the Raptors' new direction. Still, he holds a great relationship with the organization and Masai Ujiri.

Kyle Lowry left the Raptors as the franchise's all-time leader in assists, steals, 3-pointers made, and triple-doubles. While Kawhi Leonard was the team's best player in their 2019 title run, Lowry was the undisputed heart and soul.
Kyle Lowry's move to the Miami Heat was recently made official. He's now committed to Miami over the next three years for $85 million. Lowry figures to be an excellent fit alongside Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo as all three are notorious for their work ethic.
