Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry went home early due to back stiffness, failing to take part in the team's morning shootaround prior to hosting Game 5 on Monday against the Milwaukee Bucks, according to Raptors play-by-play announcer Eric Smith.

The All-Star guard received treatment prior to being sent home for the day, but is expected to suit up and rejoin the cast for tonight's game at the Air Canada Centre.

Lowry has been up-and-down this series, providing a spark in wins and being close to a non-factor in losses, mostly due to foul trouble.

He's averaged a measly 14.3 points per game through four games in the best-of-seven series, falling well short of his 22.4 points per game season scoring average.

The Raptors are very much in need of a breakout performance from Lowry down the stretch, with DeMar DeRozan and Serge Ibaka doing most of the heavy lifting thus far.

After bringing center Jonas Valanciunas off the bench in Game 4, coach Dwane Casey doesn't seem to have another lineup change coming down the pipe, but rather just some minor adjustments — hoping to keep the Bucks guessing, according to Eric Koreen of The Athletic Toronto.
