After sitting out a crucial Game 3 with a left ankle injury, Toronto Raptors point guard Kyle Lowry considers himself “probably doubtful” for Sunday's Game 4 against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“I’m probably doubtful. I don’t think I’ll be able to play,” Lowry told Eric Koreen of The Athletic after Saturday morning's shootaround, claiming he thinks he made it worse by trying to work out. “It’s not looking great, but I’m not giving up on it.”

In Lowry's absence, his backcourt mate DeMar DeRozan erupted for a game-high 37 points, but it was to no avail, thanks to a poor bench production (nine points combined) and a complete inability to keep the Cavs off the boards, grabbing only one offensive rebound in the game and being out-rebounded 49-25 during Game 3.

The Raptors training staff will likely try to play a careful approach with Lowry, who has had his share of injuries through the latter part of the season.

Unlike his first-round series, the All-Star point guard had enjoyed some consistency in his first two games against Cleveland, scoring 20 points a piece in the first two games on the road. His backup, Cory Joseph, struggled in a 2-of-12 performance from the floor — totaling only six points.

If Toronto indeed goes out in four games, the 31-year-old floor general will have some thinking to do this offseason as he goes into free agency. Lowry stopped a reporter's question about free agency mid-sentence, claiming he hasn't thought about it yet.
